At the end of any day, what makes life even more enjoyable is its ability to let us laugh. Any stress from works, studies, relationships--whatever it is, laughter is the temporary end to it all. Albeit not permanently, it's a great way to spend a day after a week's worth of work.
If there's one man who can send you to Laughter-Ville, look no further than a man named Martin Lawrence. Lawrence, among many other things, is widely known as a Germany-born American actor, stand-up comedian, and producer. After his debut in 'What's Happening Now?', his name gained the recognition it deserved.
As he guests in more and more gigs, his career led him to the film industry--both for acting and producing. However, as for his early career in the business, he starred in films such as Do The Right Thing and Boomerang.
Lawrence didn't have it easy, however. Named after civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy, his parents divorced when he was just eight years old. As he stepped into the limelight of adolescence, he lived in Queens, New York. At that time, he excelled in boxing to keep him off the streets.
During his formative years, Lawrence attended Thomas G. Pullen School of Creative and Performing Arts as well as Fairmont Heights High School. Having boxed, he saw it as a career choice--but after suffering from a broken eye, his interest in acting overtook. Basically, if Lawrence didn't get an injury, maybe we would've seen a Pacquiao-Lawrence fight?
